27th Constitutional Amendment: Today’s important cabinet meeting

The federal cabinet has been called to an important meeting at 10:00 AM today (Saturday) due to disagreements over some aspects of the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
All cabinet members have been told to stay in Islamabad, and the prime minister will preside over the meeting via video link from Baku. The administration has received assurances of support from the MQM-P, PML-Q, Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, and other coalition partners.
Today, the Senate is anticipated to receive the draft of the 27th Constitutional Amendment. The first draft of the 27th Constitutional Amendment has been prepared by the Ministry of Law. Sources claim that most topics have been agreed upon, with political parties still consulting on the one or two concerns that remain.
Notably, the government has stated that the NFC Award will not be changed by the 27th Amendment in response to the PPP’s protest. The draft will be completed and the party’s recommendations will be included in the final form after the PPP gives its approval.
