Pakistan warned of a ‘strong reaction’ to any attack by Afghanistan.

Pakistan has reaffirmed its desire to avoid further escalation with Afghanistan, however cautioned that any act of aggression would elicit a “strong and severe” response.

The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that Pakistan anticipates the Afghan interim government will prevent its territory from being utilized against Pakistan.

The spokesperson stated, “Pakistan seeks peace and stability in the region; however, terrorism will be unequivocally rejected under any circumstances.”

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that the Pakistan Army is entirely equipped to safeguard the nation.

He underlined that any external aggression will elicit a resolute and robust response, emphasizing that mitigating the threat posed by Fitna Al Khawarij terrorists is crucial for peace.

Pakistan has informed the Taliban leadership that cross-border terrorism originating from Afghan territory will be unacceptable, and Kabul must guarantee peace.
