Enhanced efforts eradicated 350 terrorists in October, according to a report.

According to a research by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), successful kinetic operations conducted by Pakistan’s security forces rendered October the most lethal month for terrorists, resulting in the deaths of nearly 350 militants.
A recent research from the Islamabad-based security think tank PICSS indicates that October was the deadliest month for militants nationwide, due to escalated operations by security forces.
Estimates indicate that 355 militants were eliminated nationwide, representing the most casualties in a decade among extremists.
The study indicates that 69 attacks were documented during the month, reflecting a 52 percent decrease from August.
During clearance efforts, 92 security personnel and 48 civilians perished.
The report indicated that security personnel captured 22 suspected extremists.
The report database documented a 29 percent increase in militant attacks—from 69 in September to 89 in October—despite an overall reduction of 19 percent in human casualties resulting from these strikes.
The report indicated that 23 insurgent strikes occurred in the southwestern province of Balochistan, with deaths significantly decreasing from 79 to 27.
In counter-terrorism operations, 67 militants were eliminated, indicating a significant enhancement in the province’s security condition. The research indicated a 92 percent reduction in civilian fatalities and a 52 percent decrease in security personnel deaths.
In the previously tribal districts, now integrated into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following the 25th Amendment of the constitution, and mainland KP, 55 militants were eliminated in kinetic operations conducted by the security forces.
From January to October 2025, security forces killed a total of 1,734 insurgents, while 601 security personnel were martyred, according to the study.
