A victim of the Supreme Court canteen explosion passes away at PIMS after suffering injuries.

On Wednesday, a victim of the gas cylinder explosion at the Supreme Court canteen passed away from his wounds.
Details indicate that Tanveer Ahmed’s son, Asad Muneeb, 19, was receiving treatment at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) burn centre following severe burns he sustained in the explosion. He went away early morning despite the best efforts of the doctors.
The unfortunate event happened on Tuesday as the Supreme Court building’s central air conditioning system was being repaired in the basement canteen. Twelve individuals were hurt in the explosion, which was thought to be the result of a gas leak and spread fear across the court grounds.
The strong explosion broke the glass in the Bar Association’s reception area, destroyed the canteen’s furniture and even had an impact on the adjoining Courtroom No. 6. Shortly after the explosion, security guards and rescue crews raced to the area, transporting visitors, employees, and attorneys to safety.
The Inspector General of Islamabad stated that the canteen had been experiencing a gas leak for a number of days. While maintenance personnel were fixing the air conditioner, the explosion happened. An air conditioning technician was burned on 80 percent of his body.
In addition to expressing profound sadness over the deaths, the Supreme Court administration promised to fully help the victims and their families.
