Jordan and Pakistan reaffirm their dedication to solid economic and strategic partnerships.

At regional and global fora, Pakistan and Jordan have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their economic and strategic ties and extending their mutually beneficial cooperation.

It was confirmed during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and King Abdullah II of Jordan on Saturday at Prime Minister House in Islamabad.

Further strengthening bilateral ties and investigating opportunities for improved collaboration in the fields of the economy, commerce, investment, health, science and technology, education, and defence were the main topics of the talks.

A thorough exchange of opinions on regional security and peace measures was another highlight of the gathering.

Following the signing of the Gaza Peace Plan in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, the two leaders decided to improve cooperation amongst the eight Arab Islamic nations collaborating with the United States on the truce in Gaza.

Regarding post-war Gaza, both leaders recognised the shared opinions and moral stances adopted by their nations, which include zero tolerance for any Palestinian relocation from Gaza.

Throughout the Gaza crisis and in the aftermath of the war, the King of Jordan commended Pakistan’s unwavering support for his nation’s role in regional stability and humanitarian operations.

The prime minister praised King Abdullah II’s visit to Pakistan and said it was evidence of the two countries’ long-standing friendship.

Additionally, he gave the King an update on recent events in Pakistan’s neighbours, particularly in Afghanistan and India.

King Abdullah II of Jordan begins a two-day visit to Islamabad.

The King recognised the vital role Pakistan plays in preserving regional peace and security.

An MOU exchange ceremony in the areas of media, culture, and education was observed by both dignitaries. The King and his delegation were also honoured with a banquet hosted by the prime minister.

Field Marshal Gen. Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and a number of cabinet officials were also in attendance.
