No Red Notice: Pakistan’s plea for Moonis Elahi is decided by Interpol

The case involving Pakistan’s request for a Red Notice against Moonis Elahi, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has been concluded by Interpol.
After a thorough assessment, officials determined that the international policing body had formally disposed of the matter. In order to achieve his arrest overseas, Pakistan had applied to Interpol for the Red Notice.
According to sources, Interpol looked into the request for almost two years, giving all sides a chance to argue their cases. Moonis Elahi also addressed the organisation directly with his position. The International Criminal Police Organization’s Secretary General has released a formal letter detailing the decision.
The reports claim that the ruling prohibits Moonis Elahi from being held at any international airport. According to Pakistan’s previous request, the PTI leader has been living overseas for a considerable amount of time, and his movements won’t result in any Interpol action.
In order to help catch Moonis Elahi, the government had lodged many cases against him and was requesting Interpol’s assistance.
