US and Pakistani companies form a partnership to develop vital minerals

According to an official, the American listed business Nova Minerals Limited and the Pakistani private company Himalayan Earth Exploration (HEE) have established a joint venture to exploit vital minerals in Pakistan.

In recent months, Islamabad has made an effort to draw in international investment to its vital mining sector. Top businesses and government representatives from the US, Saudi Arabia, China, Turkiye, the UK, Azerbaijan, and other countries attended an international minerals summit held in Pakistan in April of this year.

Despite having abundant reserves of gold, copper, lithium, and other minerals, Pakistan’s mineral industry only accounts for 3.2 percent of the nation’s GDP and 0.1 percent of international exports, according to official statistics.

Pakistan’s Adviser to Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad posted on social media platform X, “Pakistan’s Himalayan Earth Exploration (HEE) and US-listed Nova Minerals (NASDAQ/ASX: NVA) sign strategic partnership to develop Pakistan’s critical minerals & rare earths.”

In Pakistan, HEE is a division of the Chinar and Gohar construction companies. With a 35 square kilometre placer gold property and a possible 111-kilometer mineral corridor in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the HEE is already in the forefront of mineral exploration in Pakistan.
