The price of gold has increased by Rs3,400 per tola.

Both domestic and foreign markets have seen sharp increases in gold prices, with Friday seeing the biggest gain.

Gold prices increased by $34 per ounce on the global bullion market, making the current price of gold $4,472 per ounce.

On the local level, the price of gold per 10 kilos rose by Rs2,915, to Rs402,573, while the price of 24-karat gold per tola jumped by Rs3,400, to Rs469,562.

Not only did the price of gold rise significantly, but so did that of silver. While the price of silver per 10 grams rose by Rs60 to Rs7,025, the price of silver per tola jumped by Rs70 to Rs8,195.
