The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has established a new customs value for USBs, flash drives, and memory cards utilized for data transfer, instituting customs charges on their imports.
Official records indicate that a customs fee of $0.78 will be imposed on 16GB USBs imported from China, whilst those imported from other nations will incur a cost of $1.
Imports of 32GB USBs from China will incur a customs fee of $0.87, while imports from other nations will be assessed a penalty of $1.13. Likewise, 64GB USBs imported from China would incur a tariff of $1.17, whilst those sourced from non-Chinese origins will be subject to a levy of $1.52.
The tariff on 128GB USBs imported from China is established at $2.60, whilst imports from other nations would incur a levy of $3.38.
Valuation indicates that 512GB USBs imported from China will incur a customs duty of $3.99, whilst those imported from other nations will be subject to a duty of $5.18. The tariff on 1TB USBs is set at $7.64 for imports from China and $9.93 for imports from other nations.
Furthermore, 2TB USBs imported from China would incur a customs fee of $14.76, whereas imports from non-Chinese nations will be subject to a duty of $19.18.
The FBR has released an official notification to enforce the revised customs tariff framework for USBs, flash drives, and memory cards.
