Naseem Shah was fined Rs. 20 million for breaking the PCB’s central contract.

Cricket player Naseem Shah was fined Rs20 million by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday for violating the conditions of his central contract.

Following the player’s receipt of a show-cause notice on March 27, a three-person disciplinary committee held a hearing.

According to the PCB, the committee acknowledged Naseem Shah’s sincere apology but concluded that he had broken a number of the central contract’s terms, including those pertaining to social media regulations.

Regarding Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Friday arrival at Gaddafi Stadium, a post was posted from Naseem Shah’s X account.

The post asked, “Why is she being given protocol like a queen?”

After a while, this post was removed, and Naseem Shah revealed that his X account had been compromised. But in cricket circles, Naseem Shah’s related statement has caused a stir.

PCB blacklisted Naseem Shah’s social media advisor in a related step. The person will no longer be allowed to collaborate with any PCB-contracted player.

According to the PCB, the choice demonstrates its dedication to upholding professional standards.
