Canada praises Pakistan for helping to facilitate negotiations between the US and Iran.

On Monday, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney called Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss bilateral collaboration and regional peace initiatives.
The Canadian prime minister thanked Pakistan on its positive diplomatic role in supporting recent discussions between the United States and Iran, which followed a short ceasefire, during the friendly and courteous conversation.
He praised Islamabad’s efforts to bring the two parties to the bargaining table.
Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, called the US-Iran engagement a significant step toward de-escalation while expressing gratitude for Canada’s support and backing.
In order to achieve long-term peace and stability in the area, he reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting both sides in maintaining the ceasefire and advancing meaningful engagement.
