All sessions set for April 20 are postponed by ECP.

Due to the federal government’s instruction for Islamabad to work from home, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has postponed all hearings that were set for April 20, 2026.

All cases scheduled for hearing on that day have been delisted, with alternative dates to be provided later, according to an official statement. In due time, pertinent parties will be notified.

This choice was in line with the federal government’s directives for work-from-home arrangements in the Red Zone of the capital, which is home to important federal departments, divisions, and ministries.

All employees in Red Zone offices will work from home on April 20, according to a statement from the cabinet secretariat. Officers and other critical personnel must stay at their stations and be prepared to report to work at short notice if necessary.
