A 5.7-magnitude earthquake shakes Islamabad, KP, and the surrounding territories.

Residents in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were alarmed by earthquake tremors.

Tremors were observed in Peshawar, Swat, Buner, Chitral, Nowshera, and Swabi, according to the Seismological Center. Additionally, structures rattled in Battagram, Mansehra, Haripur, and Abbottabad.

According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake’s epicentre was 170 kilometres below the surface of the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, with a Richter scale value of 5.7.

After the tremors, terrified locals hurried out of their houses and workplaces while praying.
