In the Daur region of Shaheed Benazirabad, Sindh, two young brothers drowned while taking a dip in a canal to avoid the extreme heat, according to officials on Friday.

Hasan Shah, 12, and his brother Fida Hussain Shah were the victims, according to early reports. When rescue teams learned of the tragedy, they hurried to the scene.

While searching for the second brother, rescuers found Hasan Shah’s body in the canal.

According to eyewitnesses, the terrible incident occurred when the kids unintentionally walked into deeper water while taking a bath.

Authorities have advised parents to be on the lookout and to prevent kids from going into canals, especially in severe weather.
