The Islamabad High Court instructs Adiala Jail to resolve Bushra Bibi’s petition within two days.

The Islamabad High Court has instructed the superintendent of Adiala Jail to resolve within two days a petition concerning access to Bushra Bibi’s personal physician and family visits, and has invited him to appear in person on May 6.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of the Islamabad High Court presided over a plea submitted by Mubashira, the daughter of Bushra Bibi, during the hearing. The court asked the petitioner if any application had been presented to the Adiala Jail administration.
Salman Akram Raja, the petitioner’s attorney, presented a copy of the application made to the prison authorities and indicated that the request had been conveyed both via courier and in person.
The Federal Constitutional Court endorses a significant increase in allowances for personnel.
He additionally asserted that Bushra Bibi underwent surgery during the night of April 16-17. Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir stated that the court was cognisant of the circumstances, since they were previously disseminated on social media.
The court observed that the petition was being sent to the prison authorities for their determination. The state counsel was instructed to ensure a ruling on the application is rendered prior to the subsequent hearing.
The court instructed the superintendent of Adiala Jail to resolve the issue within two days and scheduled the subsequent hearing for May 6.
