In Charsadda, a prominent religious scholar was shot and killed.

Maulana Idrees, a prominent religious scholar and former MPA, was shot and killed in Charsadda’s Utmanzai neighborhood by unidentified armed attackers.

According to the police, Maulana Idrees was immediately killed when the gunmen targeted his car. He was accompanied by two gunmen who were gravely hurt in the assault.

Maulana Idrees’ body and the injured have been taken to a hospital by the authorities.

To capture the attackers, police have set up a search operation and sealed off the area. The incident is still being investigated.

There is a great deal of anxiety in the town as a result of the attack, and political circles, religious leaders, and locals have expressed their profound sadness and sympathies for the deaths.
