As a powerful storm strikes the regions of Turkiye, PM Shehbaz laments the deaths and destruction.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered his sympathies on Tuesday for the deaths and destruction caused by a strong storm that struck several Turkish provinces, including Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Adiyaman, and the neighboring areas.

The prime minister wrote on his X timeline, “On behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, as well as on my own behalf, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to my dear brother H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and to the brotherly people of Turkey, on the devastating floods and extreme weather disturbances that have struck the provinces of Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Adiyaman and surrounding regions, resulting in the loss of precious lives and property.”

In this time of sorrow, he said, Pakistan stood in complete solidarity with its Turkish brothers and sisters.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said, “Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, and all those affected by this natural calamity,” reassuring Turkey that Pakistan was prepared to provide any material or humanitarian aid it might need for relief and rehabilitation.
