A resolution opposing Maulana Idress’s murder was presented in the KP Assembly.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly has proposed a resolution denouncing the horrific death of prominent Islamic scholar Maulana Idress on Tuesday.

Maulana Idress was a former member of the province legislature, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) provincial patron, and a member of the organization’s central Majlis Shura.

The KP Assembly’s opposition and treasury members voiced their profound sadness and grief over this tragic event, characterising it as a major concern for the state of law and order.

In order to prevent similar crimes in the future, the resolution urged the KP government to apprehend individuals responsible for the incident very away, prosecute them, and make sure they receive the proper penalty.

Members of the assembly also underlined the necessity of realistic and efficient steps to prevent future occurrences of this kind.
