As supplies of flour made from the fresh wheat crop start to enter the market, flour costs in Lahore have skyrocketed by almost Rs700 per mound,

The channel report claims that flour mills and retailers have raised prices dramatically, with wheat flour now retailing for more over Rs4,300 per maund, up from about Rs3,500.

A 10-kilogram bag of flour now costs Rs1,080 on the open market. The current price of a 20-kilogram wheat bag is Rs2,130, while a 15-kilogram bag is Rs1,600.

Although wheat flour made from the latest harvest is already being supplied by flour mills, prices are still rising in both retail and wholesale markets.
