PTI selects candidates for the Gilgit-Baltistan elections in 2026.

The candidates for the next Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Elections 2026 were announced on Monday by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan signed a statement from the party’s Central Secretariat stating that the party has chosen candidates for 23 Gilgit-Baltistan constituencies.

Muhammad Ilyas from GBA-1 Gilgit-1, Atique Pirzada from GBA-2 Gilgit-II, Syed Sohail Abbas from GBA-3 Gilgit-III, Zulfiqar Ali Behshti from GBA-4 Nagar-I, and Naik Naam Kareem from GBA-6 Hunza are among the PTI candidates.

In the Baltistan division, tickets for GBA-7 Skardu-I were given to Raja Muhammad Zakaria Khan Maqpoon, GBA-10 Skardu-IV to Dr. Muhammad Shareef, GBA-11 Kharmang to Syed Mohsin Zaidi, and GBA-12 Shigar to Advocate Muhammad Hassan Shigri.

Shahida from the GBA-13 Astore-I constituency was the PTI’s nominee for Astore.

The party gave tickets to Noshad Alam for GBA-15 Diamer-I, Syed Abid Iqbal for GBA-16 Diamer-II, Haji Kaman for GBA-17 Diamer-III, and Ayoub Qureshi for GBA-18 Diamer-IV in the Diamer district.

Raja Jehanzeb was nominated for GBA-21 Ghizer-III, Sher Azeem Khan for GBA-19 Ghizer-I, and Nadeem Raffique for GBA-20 Ghizer-II.

Abdur Raheem was nominated from GBA-23 Ghanche-II, Muhammad Akhtar Khan from GBA-22 Ghanche-I, and Sadaqat Hussain from GBA-24 Ghanche-III.
