Balochistan declares all schools and universities to be on summer vacation.

All public and private schools in the province’s summer zone will be closed later this month due to rising temperatures, according to the Balochistani government’s announcement of summer vacations.

The Balochistan Education Department states that from May 23, 2026, to July 31, 2026, all schools, colleges, and other educational establishments functioning in designated summer-zone locations will be closed.

Both privately and publicly owned institutions in the impacted areas are subject to the notification. As part of the province’s yearly summer vacation timetable, authorities declared that educational activities would be discontinued for the duration of the notice period.

Punjab will begin summer break on May 22.

Additionally, the agency has instructed institution heads to finish all outstanding office and administrative tasks prior to the start of the vacations. School administrators have been directed to make sure that internal arrangements, formal documentation, and records are completed before the shutdown time.

Additionally, before the holidays start, the education department mandated that colleges finish all tasks related to the ongoing digital census operation. Officials emphasized that institutions are expected to completely implement the directions issued by the provincial authorities and that adherence to the given guidelines would be closely reviewed.

Schools in Sindh will have summer vacations starting on June 1.

The statement coincides with rising temperatures in numerous parts of the province, which prompted authorities to proceed with the yearly summer closure plan for educational institutions located in Balochistan’s warmer districts.
