The accident occurred at Chakar Railway Crossing in Shahdadpur. The mini-truck broke the barrier of the closed railway crossing and got on the railway track and was hit by the train, in which the driver on the mini-truck died on the spot, according to eye-witnesses.

A big detachment of police and rescue workers rushed the area and transferred the dead body to hospital for mandatory legal procedures. Meanwhile police have opened an investigation.
