Iranian FM meets with Field Marshal Asim Munir to talk on regional stability

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir in Tehran to talk about the region’s general state, peace and stability, and further diplomatic efforts.

Iranian media reports state that both presidents discussed regional events and issues pertaining to regional security and peace.

The meeting takes place one day after Field Marshal Asim Munir made an official visit to Tehran as part of ongoing US-Iran engagement-related diplomatic and mediation activities.

According to security sources, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who has been in Tehran for a few days, and Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni welcomed the top military commander upon his arrival.
