Fourteen Afghan citizens are detained by the FIA for using forged Pakistani identification.

During a raid on a dormitory in Peshawar’s Tajabad neighborhood, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detained fourteen Afghan nationals for using fictitious Pakistani identity cards.

The accused allegedly paid agents between Rs. 2.5 million and Rs. 2.8 million to get fake national identity documents, according to FIA authorities. According to investigators, the accused intended to use forged Pakistani citizenship certificates to travel to Saudi Arabia.

During the raid, authorities also found fake Pakistani passports among those detained.

According to the FIA, preliminary findings point to the manufacture of fake identity and travel documents by an organized multinational network that operates throughout Afghanistan and Pakistan.
