Azma Bukhari announces Rs10,000 prize for Suthra Punjab workers: CM Maryam

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has stated that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has granted a cash prize of Rs10,000 each for Suthra Punjab workers for their performance during the Eid cleanliness drive across the province.
Azma Bukhari stated in a statement that the Punjab administration successfully concluded the mega Eid sanitation drive. She said that 360,000 tonnes of animal waste was disposed of by Suthra Punjab workers during the three days of Eid-ul-Azha.
The minister said that the operation involved participation of more than 184,000 personnel. Around 60,000 vehicles were used in the Suthra Punjab program. She said the operation was performed throughout the province for timely collecting and disposal of sacrificial animal remains.
Azma Bukhari said trucks engaged in the rubbish collecting operation had covered a total distance of six million miles. She said that the cleanliness initiatives were going on uninterrupted from Lahore to Attock and from Multan to Rahim Yar Khan and Sadiqabad.
Rose water, phenyl and lime were utilised during the operation by officials to prevent households from bad smells and maintain hygienic conditions. The minister claimed these procedures helped improve environment in places where sacrificial animals were handled.
She further said that Maryam Nawaz kept a close watch on sanitation drive throughout Eid holidays. To appreciate the efforts and devotion of Suthra Punjab workers participated in the operation, the chief minister gave a prize of Rs10,000 for each worker.
The minister further added that about 4,000 roads in Punjab were washed with rose water as part of the special cleanliness initiatives performed during Eid.
Azma Bukhari said locals were showing happiness on the completion of sanitation campaign. She said that Suthra Punjab workers also cleaned 60,000 mosques, imambargahs and Eid prayer sites across the state.
She further stated that the Suthra Punjab helpline maintained a 100 percent complaint resolution rate during the operation, guaranteeing a timely response to public complaints and assisting maintain cleanliness standards throughout the Eid festivities.
