The government has reversed its earlier decision to temporarily lower speed restrictions on national highways and motorways and reinstated the former speed limits for all vehicle classes.

A Motorway Police representative stated that the speed restriction for automobiles and Light Transport Vehicles (LTVs) on motorways has been reinstated at 120 km/h.

In a similar vein, the spokesperson claimed that the speed restriction for Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs) and Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) on motorways has been restored to 110 km/h.

The spokesperson added that speed limits on national highways for automobiles, LTVs, PSVs and HTVs had also been reinstated in line with the previously set rates.
