ws) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Wednesday to talk about issues pertaining to the Ministry of Interior and the general political and security landscape of the nation.

Official sources claim that the discussion concentrated on important matters pertaining to the ministry’s continuing duties and more general national affairs.

The prime minister also met with Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik, Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), earlier in the day. Malik gave him an update on the nation’s readiness for possible crises during the current monsoon season.

In order to guarantee a successful response to any weather-related calamities, Prime Minister Shehbaz instructed the NDMA to further improve cooperation with provincial governments and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs).
