Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz will address rallies in AJK

The Central leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) convened a consultative conference in Muzaffarabad Friday discussing the 2026 General Elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The conference discussed the election strategy of the party, preparations of AJK election campaign of PML-N President Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and arrangements of upcoming election rallies.

The meeting was attended by Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam, PML-N AJK President Shah Ghulam Qadir, Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan, Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Barrister Iftikhar Gilani and other party leaders, candidates and workers.

Nawaz Sharif will attend two huge election rallies one in Muzaffarabad and the other in Mirpur during his visit to Azad Kashmir. Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz will also be with him in both the rallies and will participate in them.

The participants resolved to further increase the election campaign, commence door-to-door campaign, mobilise the party workers and finalise the arrangements for the public meetings.

Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam stated that PML-N will launch strong election campaign in Azad Kashmir. He said that resolving issues of the people and promotion of development and prosperity of the region is the party’s first priority.

He said that PML-N government has completed many development projects in Azad Kashmir, he further said that Prime Minister of Pakistan has also announced the creation of Daanish Schools in the region.

Amir Muqam stated that PML-N was sure of winning the July 27 elections on the basis of public service and performance and stressed the need of timely, free and transparent elections.
