State minister says govt’s rule in KP an option

State Minister Barrister Aqeel Malik said the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is worrying and federal government is mulling imposition of governor’s control in the province.

He spoke of governance concerns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that the people of the region are enduring hardships.

Meanwhile, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar remarked at a ceremony in Peshawar that the moment has come for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to relinquish power rather than go toward Islamabad.

Tarar said the government will not let PTI supporters create chaos in Islamabad.

He further claimed that PTI was the “B team of TTP” and accused the party of attempts to create instability.

The comments came amid escalating political tensions between the federal government and the PTI-led provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
