A three-year-old has been arrested in Dera Ismail Khan for stealing energy.

Unexpectedly, the Cantt Police Station in Dera Ismail Khan has received a report of electricity theft from a three-year-old youngster.

Many people are perplexed by the episode, which begs the issue of what exactly was accused.

As to the reports, a lawsuit was filed against Zaigham, the youngster, on the grounds of her suspected involvement in electricity theft via direct connection. The allegations against the child are detailed in the initial information report that was turned in to the police station.

It becomes clear from additional information that the customer installed a direct electrical connection. The client was also linked to an overdue amount of Rs 25,000, according to the FIR.

Usman Buzdar, the Cantt Sub-Division’s sub-divisional officer (SDO), received the complaint report from Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco). In order to check for energy theft and recover arrears, the applicant, his staff line superintendent Sajjad, and an assistant lineman from Pesco Cantt Sub-Division traveled to the Yasinabad area next to Eidgah Kalan on April 30, according to the complaint. After finding a direct electrical source in a dwelling, they confiscated three yards of wire as proof.

According to Buzdar’s allegation, over the past few months, the suspect has created a loss of Rs. 25, 000. According to the plea, a FIR under Section 462 and other laws should be filed against Zaigham Abbas, son of Hameed (who is actually the son of Muneeb, son of Hameed), a resident of Yasinabad Eidgah Kalan.

But after the case was filed, it came to light that the person who was arrested for the crime is only three and a half years old.

Authorities have not yet addressed the odd circumstances surrounding the case or clarified how a three-year-old might be implicated in electricity theft.
