According to FAO, food prices increased significantly globally in March.

According to a recent study by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), there was a significant increase in food prices worldwide in March.

According to the data, food costs increased by 2.4% over February.

Sugar, vegetables, and edible oils are the commodities most impacted by the increase, which is mostly due to growing energy costs.

The FAO cautioned that if energy costs stay high, prices of other necessities like meat, dairy products, and cereals may also keep rising.

According to analysts, regional supply problems that are affecting fertilizer, transportation, and manufacturing costs, as well as rising energy prices, especially as a result of the ongoing hostilities in the Middle East, are the main causes of inflation.
