Amir Mir is named as the PCB’s media consultant, while Alia Rashid steps down.

After Alia Rashid resigned from her position, Aamir Mir, a former caretaker minister, was named on Friday as the Pakistan Cricket Board’s media consultant.

We have learned that earlier today, Alia Rashid, the director of media and communication, submitted her resignation.

As you may remember, in October of last year, senior journalist Alia was named director. In terms of appointments to posts, she was the first woman.

“Political interference” in the media department was the reason behind Alia’s resignation, according to people close to her.

In addition to being a journalist, Amir was the Punjabi caretaker government’s minister of information.
