An annual rise of 85% was achieved in rice exports.

According to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the country earned $2.517 billion in foreign money from rice exports between July 2023 and February 2024. This amount is 85.83% higher than the $1.354 billion earned during the same time in the previous fiscal year.

The data shows that there were 3.932 million metric tons of rice exports in the first eight months of the current financial year, compared to 2.546 million metric tonnes in the same period of the previous financial year.

The country generated $539.42 million in foreign currency through its exports, representing a 38.43% increase compared to the corresponding time of the previous fiscal year.

During the corresponding time of the previous fiscal year, the country generated a total of $386.88 million in revenue from the export of 366,210 units.
