At the SCO moot, Dar called on President Putin and other government delegation leaders.

Along with other Heads of Government delegations from SCO member states, Senator Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, paid a visit to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

President Putin greeted the leaders and underlined the significance of bolstering regional economic cooperation through the Shanghai Cooperation Organization during the summit.

Additionally, he emphasized the SCO’s function as a vital hub for regional connection, stability, and mutually beneficial growth.

In a previous meeting, Russian counterpart Alexey Overchuk and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met in Moscow and discussed trade expansion, rail connectivity, and wider economic cooperation in detail.

Meetings of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) were the backdrop for the discussions.

Ishaq Dar described the conversation as “very thorough and goal-oriented,” emphasizing doable strategies to increase the volume of bilateral commerce, improve land and rail connections, and fortify regional economic integration. He emphasized the possibility of greater collaboration across a number of industries, including infrastructure and transportation, which may significantly contribute to promoting regional connectivity.

Dar conveyed his appreciation for the cordial welcome he received in Russia. Highlighting the significance of Pakistan’s relationship with Russia, he disclosed that he was set to leave Moscow but decided to stay longer in order to meet with Alexey Overchuk.
