CM Maryam promises punishments for littering throughout Punjab and wants a waste-to-energy scheme.

Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, has called for an all-encompassing strategy to produce electricity from garbage, claiming that overseeing such a vast sanitation system is nothing short of a miracle.

It was decided that anyone who spreads trash in Punjab will be fined during a meeting on the “Suthra Punjab” program, which was presided over by the chief minister.

The meeting also voted to switch to environmentally friendly electric sanitation vehicles in Punjab.

Littering on roadways or in business districts will result in severe legal repercussions.

According to the CM, a thorough sanitation system for towns and cities ought to have been put in place years ago. “The Suthra Punjab project is constantly improving, although we started from nothing. The public is responding well to the excellent work being done around the province,” she continued.
