Temporarily suspended US visa services in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad

The US Consulates General in Karachi and Lahore, as well as the US Embassy in Islamabad, stated on Tuesday that all appointments would be canceled until March 6 and that visa services would be suspended.

This decision was made “as a precautionary measure in view of the current security situation,” according to US diplomatic authorities.

All planned visa interviews and any associated appointments will be canceled during this time.

For more details and updated appointment times, the embassy has instructed visa applicants to keep an eye on the official website and the email instructions.

According to officials, the security situation is constantly being assessed, and whenever things get back to normal, updates about the restoration of visa services will be given.

Following the coordinated attack on Iran by the United States and Israel, some diplomatic missions based in Pakistan have temporarily altered their regular operations due to security concerns.
