Dar presides over a meeting to discuss refinery security measures.

Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, presided over a meeting of the Committee on Security Assessment of Oil Refineries and Oil Shortage Facilities on Monday.
Refineries and other oil storage facilities around the nation had their security systems examined by the committee.
The National Coordination and Management Committee (NCMC) Coordinator informed the Committee that the necessary steps are being taken to ensure the security of these strategic facilities in consultation and coordination with all relevant stakeholders, including refineries and oil marketing companies. Additionally, he stated that the Oil Marketing Companies will pay for these extra security measures.
Ishaq Dar said he was happy with the security measures in place. Additionally, he reaffirmed the government’s dedication to protecting vital energy infrastructure in order to guarantee a steady national fuel supply across the nation.
Senior federal and provincial government officials, the Federal Secretaries of Petroleum and Interior, the Minister of State for Finance, and the Minister of Information Technology were present at the meeting.
