General Summary

Under minimal direction and reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing,Chief Financial Officer,  the eCommerce Manager is responsible for assisting the Hotels in online content management, seeking online marketing opportunities and managing the company´s website and web traffic.  He/she develops direct and semi-direct online channels to check and to improve the Internet presents of the hotel.

An eCommerce Manager has to be creative with a strategic mind and needs good Computer knowledge and internet skills.

Education/Experience 

  • College coursework in related field is helpful. 
  • Experience in related field preferred. 
  • Additional studies in hospitality are encouraged.

  • Must have the ability to speak, understand, read and write the English language.
  • Must be able to multi-task effectively in a busy public atmosphere.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Must be able to provide a lasting first impression filled with the highest quality of service.
  • Must be able to work alone as well as being a team member.
  • Must read and understand the Employee Handbook. 
  • Must be able to follow policy and perform to enhance professionalism in appearance and behavior.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor the hotel’s e-Commerce strategies as they are being implemented
  • Manage e-Commerce website content updates, coordinating site changes with the property leadership and corporate and above leadership as well including site presentation, product presentation, text and image modifications.
  • Manage and update the Hotel’s website, relevant social media (Facebook, Twitter, Blogging) and e-commerce functions including latest campaign, events and promotions from the Hotel;
  • Manage the property’s hotel web sites and online listings to ensure content is accurate, current and effective.
  • Work with the properties to ensure web sections are accurate, current and effective.
  • Ensure Internet Specials and other promotions are optimized for maximum sales.
  • Create and implement hotel e-mail campaigns.
  • Assist in managing all social media channels for the property – create social media calendar and content, monitor and engage with guest’s interaction.
  • Monitor and manage OTA listings and third party listings for hotel and outlets.
  • Know and live the mission and values of the hotel brand and company
  • Maintain policies and procedures for standardization purposes
  • Follow-up on market intelligence in existing and target markets
  • Execute monthly action plans
  • Maintains knowledge of industry and trends in market, particular amongst competitor set.
  • Maintains regular attendance and is consistently on time.
  • Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code.
  • Represent efficiency and friendliness in a manner that leaves a lasting impression
  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • Must successfully complete education related to assigned duties and role

Working Conditions

  • Public, business atmosphere in which temperatures may vary within reason of indoor climates. 
  • Travel, in personal vehicle, within company and markets to accomplish above duties and responsibilities. 
  • Lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs. may occur and with assistance, moving up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
