EU’s high representative on formal visit to Pakistan

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas on Monday came in Pakistan on an official visit on an invitation from Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

During the visit, DPM Dar and Kallas will co-chair the 8th Session of Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue. The Dialogue is the highest-level platform for formal exchanges between both sides.

The EU HR/VP will also meet with the senior leadership, including the Prime Minister and the President during the visit.

Pakistan attaches great importance to its long-standing multidimensional engagement with the European Union based on shared values, strong economic cooperation and mutual commitment to multilateralism.

This planned visit emphasises the ongoing momentum of high-level political engagements between Pakistan and the EU and demonstrates shared commitment towards further expanding Pakistan-EU partnership.
