Exam centers do not allow female candidates to take off their veils: Karachi Board

It has been made clear by the Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (Matric Board) that female students taking exams in the ninth and tenth grades would not be required to take off their veils at testing locations.
The chairman reportedly stated that all exam locations would properly protect the privacy and dignity of female pupils.
The decision was made in response to parental concerns raised by previous accusations that female pupils were subjected to stringent or improper checking procedures.
According to the new guidelines, female employees will be assigned to check female candidates in a professional and respectful manner.
