First Test, Day 2: Bangladesh dismissed for 413 as Abbas achieves five-wicket haul.

Bangladesh was dismissed for 413 in their first innings of the opening Test match against Pakistan at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Saturday.

The day commenced with Mushfiqur Rahim at 48 runs and Liton Das at 8 runs. Das was unable to sustain his wicket for an extended period, accumulating 33 runs before succumbing to Mohammad Abbas. At lunch, Bangladesh had accumulated 380 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, with Mushfiqur Rahim scoring 71 and Abadot Hossain now batting.

Subsequent to lunch, Mushfiqur Rahim was dismissed by Shaheen Afridi without contributing to his score. Abadot Hossain was removed for a duck by Mohammad Abbas, caught behind by Mohammad Rizwan. Tsikhin Ahmed scored 28 runs, whereas Nahid Rana provided 4.

Mohammad Abbas was the preeminent bowler for Pakistan, securing five wickets. Shaheen Afridi secured three wickets, while Hasan Ali and Nauman Ali each claimed one wicket.

Abbas conveyed optimism at the conclusion of the first day, asserting that Pakistan intended to secure rapid wickets on the second day to conclude Bangladesh’s innings, while acknowledging the team’s relative misfortune on the initial day due to a combination of missed chances and effective deliveries.
