Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan’s release from Israeli detention is confirmed by Pakistan.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar called the release of former senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, who had been held by Israeli soldiers, “welcome news.”

Dar said that Khan had been detained “illegally” by Israeli authorities in a statement sent from Islamabad. He acknowledged that his release was the result of diplomatic efforts and thanked Greek officials for their assistance.

Khan is anticipated to return to Istanbul before continuing on to Pakistan, according to Dar, who also acknowledged the cooperation of Turkish officials. He attributed the situation’s resolution to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ prompt action and the nation’s mission in Athens.

Reiterating Pakistan’s position on the matter, the deputy prime minister vehemently denounced what he called Israel’s arrest of humanitarian workers. Given the prevailing humanitarian situation in the region, he declared that any barrier to aid reaching residents in the Gaza Strip was intolerable.

Dar stressed that Pakistan would keep up its steadfast support for the Palestinian people, calling the former senator’s release a noteworthy and encouraging step. He continued by saying that the administration was still dedicated to promoting humanitarian access and civilian safety in crisis areas.
