Hot, dry weather to prevail over most sections of country: PMD

Hot and dry weather is forecast to continue over most regions of the country during next 24 hours, with very hot in plain areas, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said.
However, the Met Office expected rain-wind/thunderstorms at isolated sites in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas during afternoon.
Hot and dry weather with partly cloudy skies is forecast over Islamabad and neighboring areas.
Most of the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are predicted to remain hot and dry. However, partly overcast weather with isolated rain-wind/thunderstorm is likely in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra and Parachinar.
Punjab is also likely to stay hot and dry although scattered rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely to develop throughout afternoon in Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal and nearby districts.
Sindh: Hot and dry weather is forecast in Sindh. Very hot weather is likely in upper and central regions. Coastal locations will also see dust generated by high gusts.
Dust rising winds may occur in coastal areas. Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in Balochistan with very hot weather in central Balochistan.
The PMD said that partly cloudy weather with isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms is predicted in Kashmir while Gilgit-Baltistan is likely to be partly cloudy to dry.
