Hotels reopen in Rawalpindi as Metro, Green and Blue bus services resume

Hotels in Rawalpindi’s Faizabad which had been closed for several days due to security measures in wake of the demand for sit-in have been permitted to reopen while Metro, Green Bus and Blue Bus services have also started.

Police and District Administration have granted permission for hotels within New Town Police Station to remain open till October 2.

Containers are still placed at various places on Murree Road in Faizabad in anticipation of the anticipated PTI long march, security precautions are still in place. But all routes are open to vehicles and movement is proceeding properly.

The bus terminals in Faizabad also remained open although inter-provincial mobility was constrained and economic activity was impacted for several days. Hotel closures and reduced mobility had curtailed economic activity and the region was relatively empty.

Hotels are allowed to reopen and business activity is beginning to return to normal. Educational institutions in Rawalpindi remained open as usual as Metro, Green Bus and Blue Bus services resumed their operations.
