In Abbottabad, rescuers pull stranded tourists’ cars out of the snow

Rescue 1122 Abbottabad got back several cars belonging to visitors who were stuck in deep snow near the Chham area adjacent to Galiyat and Kalabagh. It was very chilly at the time.

During the long period of severe snowfall, Abbottabad and the areas around it got up to 3 feet of snow. This made roads and communication links unusable, but many tourists still came to the area to see the snow fall in person.

Rescue 1122 sources say that visitors’ cars became trapped in the Chham area because of severe snowfall. Rescue 1122 teams went to the spot and started rescue operations to help the stuck cars.

The rescue squad showed that they were trained professionals by saving the cars and getting the tourists out safely. The families’ cars were led through the treacherous, slippery road to a safe area, making sure they were safe even if the conditions were bad.

The families that were affected were very grateful and offered thanks to the rescue teams for their hard work.

The district government has told people that the risk of slipping on roadways covered with snow has gone up since the first snowfall of the season. People who are going to hilly areas should use tire chains and not go unless they have to.
