In Murree, Section 144 was implemented before to the New Year’s celebrations.

In order to protect the public and uphold peace and order before to the New Year’s celebrations, the district police in Murree have implemented Section 144, which restricts access to Mall Road and GPO Chowk to families only, according to Dunya News.

The District Police Officer stated that the limitations will be in place from December 31 to January 1. For two days, only families will be permitted access to Mall Road and GPO Chowk.

The DPO Murree claims that this action was done to give families visiting the area a tranquil setting. It has been suggested that visitors who do not fit the entry requirements spend New Year’s in neighboring localities, such as New Murree, Galiyat, and other specified spots.

Tourists have begun to arrive in Murree, which is covered in dense clouds, to celebrate the New Year. Rain and precipitation are predicted by the Meteorological Department for today through January 2.

The Punjab Highway Department has also released a warning due to the anticipated snowfall in the Murree and Galiyat regions. The department has been instructed by senior officials to maintain a high level of alertness and to always have snow-removal equipment running.
