In Pakistan, rains cause misery as flood-like conditions develop in a number of places.

Stormy weather and heavy rains are still plaguing Pakistan, resulting in flood-like conditions in several places and numerous fatalities.

Rainfall was accompanied by hailstorms in Islamabad, which resulted in a discernible reduction in temperature. Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree, Sargodha, Gujrat, Sialkot, and Gujranwala also recorded similar intense downpours.

The Kurram River flooded in Mianwali, causing floods near Kundal Chhura Wala. Water entered residential areas and caused damage to homes.

The frigid weather was made worse by sporadic snowfall in northern tourist locations like Naran, Swat, Babusar Top, and Nanga Parbat.

Rainfall impacted several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A road that led to a bridge over the Kurram River in Parachinar washed away. Two people were killed in separate events involving a roof collapse and lightning strikes.

Three individuals were killed when a car on the Pak-Afghan Highway in Khyber District was carried away by a flash flood.

In other parts of Balochistan, the weather became cooler due to rainfall in the northern districts and moderate snowfall in the top elevations. Rain-related incidents resulted in at least five fatalities.

In Azad Kashmir, the rain persisted as well. Concerns about additional floods and destruction have been raised by the weather department’s projection of another rainy spell in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from April 6 to 9.

As unfavourable weather conditions continue around the nation, authorities are keeping a careful eye on the situation.
