In Sheikhupura, an embankment breach causes three siblings to drown.

Three young siblings from the same family have drowned after an embankment fell in Ferozewala, a town in Punjab’s Sheikhupura district, rescue officials said.
Rescue sources said the embankment along the Bher drain near Pathan Colony had been damaged and a lot of water had accumulated near the houses.
The three children, named as Daniyal, Nauman and Burhan, allegedly went into the lake for bathing but drowned after they went into a deeper portion.
Rescue teams responded to the alert and pulled the children from the water before taking them to hospital where doctors confirmed their deaths.
Local residents have called on the government to restore drains and embankments promptly and install tougher safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
