Iran gives preferential facilities to Chinese, Russian ships in Strait of Hormuz

Iranian Parliament’s National Security Committee head Ebrahim Azizi stated on Saturday that Iran will provide special cooperation for Chinese and Russian vessels transiting through the Strait of Hormuz.
“Tehran will continue to prioritise cooperation with its close partner countries and maintain policies aimed at protecting Iran’s national interests and strategic partnerships, Azizi said.
He also described as crucial the recent consultative sessions between Iran and Pakistan. On nuclear-related topics, Azizi said the transfer of enriched uranium was not raised in the current negotiations and is not part of Iran’s relations with the United States.
Meanwhile, Mohsen Rezaei, an adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader and former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, attacked the United States, saying the American president had undermined diplomacy for a third time.
According to Rezaei, the US still enforces a naval blockade and makes unreasonable demands in the negotiations. He noted that Washington’s actions have undermined faith in the diplomatic process and suggested that such methods are inconsistent with real negotiations.
Iranian officials said the Islamic Republic would adopt policies that protect its national interests and improve strategic ties with key international allies.
