Islamabad restores public access and goods transportation with the implementation of revised business hours.

Public and goods transport has been permitted to enter Islamabad, as the federal capital’s administration relaxes previous restrictions and reinstates circulation across the city.

An official declaration states that all bus terminals in the city have reopened, except for the Faizabad Bus Terminal, which will remain closed till further notice. The decision indicates a partial resumption of standard transit operations, although some critical hubs continue to face constraints.

The action coincides with a comprehensive array of administrative initiatives aimed at austerity and energy conservation, leading the district administration to adjust operating hours for multiple economic sectors. A revised schedule has been released, establishing definitive deadlines for commercial operations throughout the capital.

According to the announcement, retail establishments, markets, and shopping centers will henceforth cease operations by 8 PM. Nevertheless, essential services are exempt from this restriction, including pharmacies, hospitals, petrol stations, CNG outlets, and dairy establishments, so guaranteeing continuous access to vital services for people.

Food-related enterprises have been granted marginally extended operating hours. Restaurants, traditional tandoors, grocery stores, and other food establishments will be authorised to operate till 10 PM. Officials have confirmed that takeaway and delivery services will persist without limits, enabling firms to operate past their physical closing hours.
